York & Selby · Seven coaches, one mission

Meet the team

We aren't "trainers" — we're coaches. Every member of this team is wholeheartedly dedicated to supporting each client, and every one of them is here because they love watching women surprise themselves. Stronger Together.

ASPhoto coming soon · Aimée
Owner · Head Coach

Aimée Sadler

Before she qualified as a PT, Aimée took a masters degree in Geology and joined the Royal Navy as a warfare officer — playing rugby all the way through. She's been in the fitness industry for over ten years, managed gyms large and small, and is mum to a very lively eight-year-old, George.

"There is no place like this. An amazing group of women, from all walks of life — and whatever life throws at them, our community is there to either celebrate with you or help and support you."

Empowering women through fitness. Stronger Together 💚

Fitness Coach

Jo Perryman

Jo started at the gym as a member three years ago — and loved it so much, and could see the difference it was making to members' lives, that she trained as a coach, taking her Level 2 qualification and then Spinning too.

Fitness has always been part of her life, mainly through hockey at club level and representing The North Masters. She's also been a dental hygienist for almost 30 years — so she's spent her whole career looking after people.

"I love being able to support women to make the best version of themselves through strength training and enjoying exercise."

Outside the gym: two grown-up sons, the garden, and a Labrador who gets plenty of walks.

JTPhoto coming soon · Julie
Fitness Coach · Level 3 PT

Julie Towner

Julie hasn't always been into health and fitness — quite the opposite. She was overweight and unfit right up to her early 30s, and the thought of an exercise class or a gym would have had her sweating.

Then, after much persuasion, she went to a class at her local sports centre — and had her epiphany. The instructor was fun, motivating and engaging, and without knowing it, changed Julie's life forever.

"That instructor changed my life. And now I want to do the same for you."

Six years on, she's helped countless people transform their lives through fun, engaging training — one-to-one, small groups or full-energy classes.

RDPhoto coming soon · Rhys
Fitness Coach

Rhys Derbyshire

Coaching for nearly nine years, Rhys grew up overweight — and found the gym at 17 when he moved from Bolton to York. Four years working in retail taught him he loved helping people, so he joined that up with his new-found love of training and began helping others through the same transformation he'd been through.

"I've found my passion move towards overall wellbeing — using exercise to build resilience, confidence and self-worth."

Martial arts, running, strength and conditioning — and a promise to always bring energy to your sessions.

JMPhoto coming soon · Jane
Fitness Coach

Jane Mitchell

A professional ballet dancer in her youth — trained in Russian ballet technique in Covent Garden — Jane got back into fitness after a long break and six children. She's now 54, started her own journey back almost four years ago, and had such amazing results at this very gym that she was asked to train as a coach.

"I help others learn to love what they see in the mirror — and I can honestly say I've never loved a job more in my life."
CPPhoto coming soon · Chris
Fitness Coach · Level 3 PT

Chris Plowman

A Level 3 PT for three years, Chris has represented England U-21s at rugby union and Great Britain at rugby league, competed in CrossFit, Strongman and triathlon, and climbed three of the highest mountains in the world.

"Really, I'm just a dad of two grown-up kids, trying to live my best life — and loving helping people reach their health and fitness goals."
BBPhoto coming soon · Becky
Yoga & Fitness Coach

Becky Bliss

Becky has practised yoga for about 20 years and trained in the gym nearly as long. She took her yoga teaching qualification as a gift to herself — and got booked to teach her first class the week she qualified. She was hooked. While everyone else was baking banana bread in lockdown, she earned her Level 2 PT qualification.

"Strength, flexibility and fun are my passions. My greatest reward? Seeing someone do something they never thought they could."
